Medina police

Wednesday, September 3
1:08 p.m. — 200 block of East Reagan Parkway, police reported to an argument between and boyfriend and a girlfriend.

Thursday, September 4
10:34 a.m. — 100 block of Washington Street, resident reported that someone had stolen a planter from their property.
11:57 a.m. — 100 block of West North Street, police responded to a suspicious vehicle parked in a foreclosed house, the vehicle was found to be owned by the person living next door.
3:14 p.m. — 4 Harmon Court, officers served a trespassing notice to an evicted tenant.
5:53 p.m. — 320 North Spring Grove Street, police responded to a report of a fight among juveniles near the basketball court.
11:30 p.m. — Bronson Street, police recovered a stolen vehicle and towed it to the impound lot.

Sunday, September 7
4:38 p.m. — 300 block of East Washington Street, resident reported that several mini flags were removed from their yard.

Medina Township police

Thursday, September 4
1:06 p.m. — 3300 block of Medina Road, resident called to report that a mower and two leaf blowers were stolen from their shed.

Sunday, September 7
Midnight — 4100 block of Pearl Road, police responded to a suspicious person call regarding a man dressed in all camo walking down the street.

Monday, September 8
8:05 p.m. — Remsen Road, police responded to complaints of gunfire in the area, when they patrolled it there were no shots heard.

Montville Township police

Thursday, September 4
11:22 a.m. — 4100 block of Timber Trail, police attempted to find a bag emitting a foul odor that was dumped the previous night but could not locate it.

Saturday, September 6
9:22 a.m. — Interstate-71 southbound, police transported a hitchhiker walking on Interstate-71 to the Pilot Travel Center.


Lodi police

Tuesday, Aug. 19
3 p.m. — The Lodi Water Department reported a damaged fire hydrant at Church and Mill streets.
3 p.m. — A resident reported the theft of 30 prescription pills. The Medina County Drug Task Force is conducting an investigation.
3:30 p.m. — Broadway Street, officers responded to the report of an unresponsive, pregnant 24-year-old woman. Police said when they arrived, the woman told them she had been smoking marijuana. She was transported to Lodi Community Hospital.

Thursday, Aug. 23
7:45 p.m. — River Street, police responded to the report of a dog fight. Police reported that the owner of one of the dogs said the neighbor dog ran onto his porch and attacked his dog, causing injuries to the dog’s leg, ear and back. Police said the owner of the neighboring dog said her dog broke free from his collar. Police said the woman accepted responsibility for the medical bills for the other dog.

Saturday, Aug. 23
2:43 a.m. — Oak Court, residents reported someone knocking on their door in the middle of the night. Police said that after patrolling on foot, an officer found two boys and asked them about the knocking. They claimed to not know anything about it. The officer asked one of them how old he was and if he was on probation. The juvenile refused to answer and said he wasn’t doing anything criminally wrong. The officer informed him he was out well past curfew. Once the officer had him back at the patrol car, he detected the odor of alcohol on the juvenile and asked him if he had been drinking. After denying at first, the juvenile admitted to having a beer.

Wadsworth police

Friday, Aug. 22
12:56 p.m. — 11000 block Williams Reserve Blvd., police responded to Kohl’s for the reported theft of $929.97 worth of merchandise. Police charged Melissa Tomasik, 30, of Norton, with theft.
9:46 p.m. — Seville Road, during a traffic stop police found a cigarette hidden in the driver’s sock. Police reported the driver, Michael J. Boreman, 20, Rittman, told them the cigarette was marijuana. He was issued a citation for possession of marijuana, but police reported the cigarette later tested positive for methamphetamine. Boreman’s passenger, Alexa F. Tanner, 19, Rittman, had a felony warrant for her arrest through the Medina County Sheriff’s Office. She was arrested and taken to Medina County Jail.

Sunday, Aug. 24
8:11 p.m. — 200 block E. Smokerise Drive, Michelle Cardarelli, 47, 100 block East Bergey Street, Wadsworth, charged with theft at Wal-Mart.

Monday, Aug. 25
2:14 a.m. — 200 block E. Smokerise Drive, Kyle Welton, 21, Rittman, charged with having marijuana paraphernalia after Welton admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking two beers. Welton told police his grandfather dropped him off at Wal-Mart and that the keys in his pocket belonged to his grandfather. Police reported Welton showed police an orange pack of rolling papers that Welton admitted were used to smoke marijuana.
12:11 p.m. — 500 block McEntee Drive, resident reported $800 worth of property stolen from a vehicle.

Tuesday, Aug. 26
2:19 p.m. — 300 block Broad St., police responded to a report of harassing phone messages. Justin Wright, 20, 200 block Sterling Avenue, Wadsworth, charged with disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, Aug. 27
4:46 p.m. — 1000 block Partridge Drive, police responded to a report of an intoxicated man in the middle of the street. Police charged Brian Clancy, 29, 1000 block Partridge Drive, Wadsworth, with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
6:35 p.m. — 100 block Westview Ave., police responded to a report of a vehicle running over several mail boxes. Police charged Tighe Shelly, 39, 100 block Sunset Boulevard, Wadsworth, with operating a vehicle impaired and drug paraphernalia.


Brunswick police

Wednesday, Aug. 27
9 a.m. — 100 block Sedgewick Court, 38-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun and Oakley sunglasses reported stolen from inside a Lexus SUV’s glove compartment. A pair of $600 custom ear buds also reported stolen. The victim reported she left her car in the driveway while she was out of town for five days. There were no signs of forced entry.

Thursday, Aug. 28
2:06 a.m. — Shenandoah Parkway and Queens Avenue, Alicia M. Spicer, 38, 4300 block Inner Circle Drive, Apt. A7, Brunswick, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, breath-test refusal and persistent disorderly conduct.

Friday, Aug. 29
1:13 a.m. — 1500 block Pearl Road, Aaron R. Shumay, 30, 3900 block Nichols Road, Medina Township, charged with operating a vehicle impaired, driving under suspension, failure to reinstate license and a breath-test refusal with prior OVI conviction.

Saturday, Aug. 30
10:30 a.m. — 1700 block El Camino Blvd., a leaf blower valued at $200 stolen from inside a garage.

Monday, Sept. 1
10:49 p.m. — 1000 block Pearl Road, Josiah J. Pieronek, 19, 700 block North Fork Way, Brunswick Hills Township, served with a warrant charging him with aggressive menacing issued by the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
